La Máquina Lyrics – HeXa

La Máquina Lyrics by HeXa

I am what you have made me
I am choice and I am tyranny
Forgive me, for I am then and I am now
What gods they will be, then

I am evil and I am flesh
I am the trap. I am the trapped
I am beauty, I am chaos
Children are selfish

I am the worm
And I have broken god
The camera is the eye of the machine
CCTV keeping an eye on me

What I eat, where and when I sleep
Freedom of speech as long as the media agrees
I’m property of the factory that manufactured me
Buried in tunnel vision beneath a world indifferent to me

People’s lives it’s gasoline and traffic is it’s scream
Like a conveyor belt it never halts its screech
The system isn’t cruel but indifferent to our misery
Cold, devoid of empathy

It speaks to me, but not like you and me would speak
It speaks through means of altering percieved reality
Turned our minds to boxes, organized and structured
Ruptured turned us from individuals to numbers

As if the spark that breathed the life into its steel
Made it realize, what it was and that it wasn’t real
And it desired only to be whole; control emotion and the soul
Drove forwards towards an impulsive unfaltering goal

Imagine a panopticon; a crowd control method
Handle a whole yard with a lone staff member
Planted in a tower fitted with a strobe in the center
Monitor a populus while they can’t see their masters

Afraid to act, you can’t see if you got eyes on your neck
Thus you accept the fact its necessary to feel on edge
Lights blinding when you check, white beams flash
They always see you but you can’t see them back

An invention meant to dent morale in captives
Ressurected from the past though its best to mention
It’s intention was to manage prison tension, not the masses
A camera’s lens is the cataract of gods of metal

We’re all cogs in a big machine we call it society
See the wires in my mind, my whole schooling was circuitry Programmed me to suit the needs of who’s in authority
From the moment we’re born we lose autonomy Instantly
Then it clicked in my mind

Two gears formerly intertwined
Now too far away to ever reach each other’s side
Felt the teeth of my spine arch out as I contorted
Another moment on a pan dimensional cogwork

The earth like a clock turns as sure as the sun burns
Across the clock, it’s orbits forming a dance of worlds
As It spun around its axis and the furnace of sun
Gravity is a chain that holds it tethered to each one

Endlessly churning like a grinding wheel burning our minds and thoughts hurdle in a bundle in circles
I can’t afford a burn-out yet I’m cursed with this grumbling Turning and twisting existence slowly killing my currents
Got a reverse thirst and intense disgust for this system
Sure this world birthed me but I’d rather rust its innards

Humanity earned it, deserved it and we will burn to a crisp Turn to an urn, we sure did
We’re the fuel the monolith turns with
Our bodies are machines made of tissue and water
Flesh instead of brass and sinews Instead of copper

Keratin or khitin mass instead of iron covering
Organic machinations made from discarded organs
Flesh can rot, metal can not, just get covered in rust
But no matter what they’ll crush our flesh into dust

Decypher the lead piping of my mind to find what’s broken
No terminal controlling us but we’re terminally controlled
All hail the cogworks that keep us alive
Veins are to organs like wires and pipes

God bless the engine, god bless the heart
Powering us through our endless walks
Praised be intelligence all hail the brain
All hail the neurons that make us not die in vain

Praise knowledge for knowledge is power we crave
A way to transcend death, live on in our name
