Had to end Spotify premium last night
I’m not sure how imma make it through the night
Didn’t even have it for all that long
But now I can’t listen to specific songs
Have to shuffle playlists or switch platforms
Go to another app so I don’t have to conform
To the standards that Spotify made up
I don’t wanna have to pay up
To listen to the songs that saved me
But running a platform isn’t free
Only get six skips an hour
They hold all the power
Just wanna vibe to one of my custom playlists
Just wanna hear that song that tells me to exist
So for now when I start feeling alone
Amazon Music will be my home
Why is everything so stressful stressful
Can’t do anything with out my head phones headphones
I need music to be with me about me
So my brain can be put at ease
Music has always spoken to me

Whether in vocal swing, bells that ring
Orchestral strings
Music has never demanded pay
But Spotify claims I have no say
I have no way, I’ve no escape
Just play the game, just pay for play

They just want money and they show no shame
My sad playlist starts calling my name
Extra songs are added what a shame
They are added to my playlists by Spotify
But I’m only allowed 6 skips an hour so I guess I’ll die
Tempted to drop the 10 dollars a month
Just because life without premium sucks
I hate that it was what I had to lose
I have to find something new to use
So for now when I start feeling alone
Apple Music will be my new home
