Justice Condemned Lyrics – Rev. James Beard

Justice Condemned Lyrics by Rev. James Beard

Text, Matthew 27:23rd: “What evil hath he done?” This text was spoken by Pilate who was the governor of Jerusalem. And before him was being tried Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And, uh, they had accused Him of being a lawbreaker, and they claimed that this man had {trespassed?} the law of the Roman {governor/government}, and by their law, they ought to die. Pilate says to them “Why? What evil hath he done?” They said “Why? He disturbs thе whole country. He claims that He is thе messiah, and besides that, He says that He can {tear down this grand city of ours} and can {rise} up again in three days. And we have {?}, and I don’t see why, that He could be able to tear it down and build it again in three days. And by our law, They ought to die.” But Jesus, oh, was innocent, and Pilate knew that He was, began to cry “What evil hath he done?”
